I think the most beautiful venue for a live concert in the summer has to be Greenwood Lake. The stage is right on the edge of the water with an unobstructed view of the lake and surrounding mountains. As the sun sets, and the lake deepens in color, it makes a spectacular sight. Boats come close to shore to hear the music and their lights can be seen from shore. The band often turns around and acknowledges them. Sort of like God's "theater in the round" !!!
We were all greeted by Mayor Barbara Moore's welcome to the crowd and then the evening started. The band was excellent as usual. The sound man did an excellent mix which is so important with an outdoor concert. There were many new songs on the playlist for tonight as well as a lot of the old favorites which we have come to love. It is always the "Groovy Tuesday" sound.
Jimmy has added a lot to the group mixing in lead and backup vocals to the band. He is always "all over the stage " which makes it a little difficult to shoot but twice as rewarding. Jimmy's energy shines through and is a great addition. Seems like the ladies are loving him too!! They have started to "reward him" in a way with "gas money" for his lively bass playing.
Neil was great as usual with his excellent guitar playing and vocals and the brothers Lanzano, Mike and John gave us their wonderful harmonies as only two brothers can do.
Hope you like the photos
